Commercial Electrical and ACMV, In-House and Coordinated With Your Fit-Out
When the electrical and air-conditioning works in a commercial space are run by separate subcontractors, the wiring, the ceiling and the ducting rarely line up on the first try, and the schedule slips while everyone waits on each other. Trends Interior is a commercial electrical contractor in Singapore that keeps both electrical and ACMV (Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) in-house, so the M&E is coordinated with the rest of the fit-out from day one. As an electrical contractor Singapore offices can rely on, we have delivered commercial projects since 1988, we are BCA-registered, and we do not subcontract our trades.

What ACMV means and why it sits with the electrical scope
ACMV stands for Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation. It is the cooling and air-movement side of a commercial space, covering fan coil units, the ductwork that carries the air, the diffusers in the ceiling, and the exhaust or fresh-air ventilation. Together with the electrical works, ACMV makes up the M&E (mechanical and electrical) scope of a fit-out.
Air-conditioning and electrical depend on each other on site. An FCU needs power and a switched supply, ducting and lighting compete for the same space above the ceiling, and the layout of both has to match where the partitions land. Keeping ACMV installation and the electrical works under one team is what stops those clashes turning into rework.
Why in-house electrical and ACMV is a turnkey advantage
On a typical fit-out, the main contractor brings in an electrical subcontractor and a separate ACMV contractor, then tries to slot both around the builder’s work. Every handoff between those parties is a place where the schedule can stall, and when something does not line up, each one points at the other.
Trends Interior keeps electrical, ACMV, drywall and partitions, and our own carpentry production in-house. One team plans and runs the M&E alongside the rest of the build, so there are no subcontractor scheduling gaps, the coordination happens in our own office rather than across three companies, and one party is accountable if anything needs to be corrected. That is what makes the difference between a fit-out that hands over on time and one that drags.
Licensed electrical work, handled correctly
Disconnection and reinstatement at the end of your lease
M&E is also one of the bigger items when a lease ends and the unit has to be returned to bare condition. Because the same in-house team can disconnect the lighting, power, DB boards and ACMV that were installed, the make-good is handled by people who already understand how the space was wired. If you are planning your exit, we cover full office and commercial reinstatement under the same in-house model, so the electrical and ACMV strip-out is part of one coordinated handover rather than a separate subcontractor visit.

Part of the full fit-out, or a standalone trade
Electrical and ACMV can be taken as a coordinated part of a larger project or as a standalone trade. Trends Interior is a commercial-only contractor, with no residential or HDB work, serving offices, retail, F&B and warehouse spaces across Singapore. Most clients fold the M&E into a full interior fit-out or an office renovation, while others bring us in within a design and build project where we manage the whole scope. In every case the electrical and ACMV stay in-house, so you deal with one accountable team rather than separate M&E subcontractors.
